Training Overview

Welcome to what could arguably be one of the most important areas on this site.   The text contained herein will teach you and hopefully make you think.   It should inspire individuals and groups to focus on the quality of their training   design, and the execution of the movements (repetitions, etc.) during their training.   Our brains are incredibly powerful, and once they have programmed something...its nearly impossible to un-program it!

Lets make a deal:   Learn how to design and execute your training sessions correctly so when the chips are down you will perform as you wish!

This page and it's sublinks are broken down into five sections:

  1. Design - This page will offer you the concepts of training design, and what the parameters of proper training design are.
  2. Execution -This page will focus on the concepts of training execution, in other words, once we have properly designed our training, how do we execute that training for the most effect.   This will allow us to improve our quality of "real life" execution when the chips are down.
  3. Programs -This page will offer drills, and programs that can be followed for improved performance.   Most of these will be for a handgun, but we will also post them for rifles and shotguns.   (Shooting-Performance focuses on large view concepts that can be applied across the board with any weapon)
  4. Observations -This will be my daily, weekly, and monthly tips for increased performance.   The tips will incorporate mental and physical elements.
  5. Questions - This is your chance to ask anything you want regarding the information posted on this site.   All serious questions will be addressed and answered in a timely manner.
