Training  Drills and Programs

This page contains:
  1. All of the written training drills that I use and assign when coaching.
  2. A section with some sample training programs (you may have to scroll down to the second table).

The four primary safety rules are:

  1. All firearms should always be treated as loaded firearms.
  2. Never point a firearm in any direction where an intentional or unintentional shot may cause harm to an unintended person, place, or thing.
  3. Keep your finger off and away from the trigger at all times until the decision has been made to shoot.
  4. Know your target, backstop, and what is beyond it  for all live fire training.

  Training Program  Description
Law Enforcement Handgun Practice Program   This is a good sample of a Law Enforcement Handgun training drill, part of a program to hone basic skills.   It is by no means all inclusive of what a full training program would be.
